On the other end of the spectrum is hyperopia – otherwise known as far-sightedness. Being hyperopic means you will have an easier time seeing things farther away as compared to up close. These eyes tend to be smaller in length and/or have very flat corneas. These factors cause light to focus behind the retina which causes blur that tends to be worse at near.
We correct hyperopia with a “plus lens” which moves the focal point forward to the retina and create perfect clarity.
